Week 1 NFL Power Rankings

//ALEX SIMPSON//

After watching the first week of the NFL season, many teams stood out more than others. Some teams even showed us that they aren’t as good as we thought.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers shocked the entire NFL world winning 48-40 against the New Orleans Saints. The Buccaneers’ starting quarterback was Ryan Fitzpatrick who is their second-string quarterback. He had 417 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, 36 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. Fitzpatrick was hot and if he keeps this up, he might gain the starting role over Jameis Winston when he comes back in week 5.

The Baltimore Ravens proved they could really play by beating the Buffalo Bills 47-3. Now, the score is impressive, but what was more impressive was watching them play. The Ravens looked like a top 5 team, but then again, it may just be because they played the Bills. The Ravens play a tough Cincinnati Bengals defense in week 1 and we will see then if their playing abilities are still impressive.
