Vogue recently released an article “Nine Rising Model Stars to Watch in 2015,” which listed biographies on the nine up and coming models that have caught Vogue’s eye.
The girls who made the list are: Hailey Baldwin (New York), Romee Strijd (Netherlands), Olympia Campbell (London), Kelly Gale (Sweden), Bella Hadid (Los Angeles), Maartje Verhoef (Netherlands), Ine Neefs (Belgium), and Taylor Hill (Colorado).
Taylor Hill reigns from Colorado, but currently lives in New York. Hill was discovered her sophomore year at Pomona High School, and now at 18, she has worked her way to the top. Recently she has walked runway in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Versace, and Chanel. “I was excited that she was finally getting recognition for her hard work,” Jenn Hill, Hill’s mother, said about Vogue’s article.
For any model who makes the coveted list the news can be shocking, yet rewarding. Every single one of these girls has worked hard to make it in the modeling industry, many starting from a young age. Just like Hill, Kelly Gale is open about the bullying she received in high school from her classmates. Both said that the bullying made them only want to work harder and prove their classmates wrong. The girls’ ages range from seventeen to nineteen.
