Every year, Vans Warped Tour rolls through town in Denver, Colo. The event includes many activities, a collection of souvenir booths and trinket shops, groups of activists and, of course, a multitude of amazing, diverse musicians–and they all fit into the parking lot of the Pepsi Center.
The bands featured this year varied in genre from hip-hop, to punk folk, to hard core rock to soft indie. Altogether there totaled 94 bands in attendance.
Such a large number of bands in attendance, of course, led to a huge amount of attendees. Hours before doors opened at 11:00 a.m., the line for admittance wrapped around throughout the parking area. Many individuals even arrived in campers to hang out throughout the weekend.
Some of the most notable acts included RiFF RAFF, Neck Deep, Black Veil Brides, Pierce the Veil, Asking Alexandria and The Wonder Years.
Every set at every stage was filled with enthusiasm from both the artist and the audience. Whether the crowd was nodding along to slow-paced, chill music or raging to hardcore rock, everyone was enjoying the environment they were in.
The crowd at Neck Deep was one of the most impressive throughout the day. Not a moment went by without at least two or three individuals surfing across the top of a packed crowd. Ben Barlow’s performance was filled with emotion and the audience vibed with the music in perfect harmony.
Palisades was one of the most eclectic sets of the tour. Classified by Vans as a “dance rock” band, they switched the feel of their music up many times within single songs. The abrupt genre change was an interesting twist to a majority of the audience.
RiFF RAFF’s set was one of the best featured throughout the day. He didn’t match the usual vibe of the music scene and didn’t manage to take the stage for long, but he still captivated the crowd with some of his most notable hits such as “Dolce and Gabbana” and “Tip Toe Wing in my Jawwdinz.” His audience definitely topped most others. Die hard fans even shared haircuts with their hip-hop idol.

One of the best ways to express a personality through a physical attribute is by utilizing hair. It’s one thing on everyone’s body that is completely controllable. It can be dyed, cut, curled and styled in any way at any time.
Many people throughout each and every individual crowd presented their style in this way, whether their hair was all natural or every color of the rainbow.
