8:34 p.m.: Almost all of the students clear out of the gym after a quick, fast-paced game.

8:26 p.m.: The Golden Eagles officially defeat the Grizzlies 56-45 on their own turf after maintaining a lead throughout a large portion of the game.

8:24 p.m.: James Viergutz makes two points of off free throws with 33.3 seconds left. The score is 54-43 Golden Eagles.

8:22 p.m.: ThunderRidge calls a timeout with 43.4 seconds left. Mountain Vista holds a 9-point lead and shows no sign of backing off.

8:20 p.m.: The score is 48-39 after Belknapp sinks two free throws with only 1:33 left in the last quarter.

8:16 p.m.: Subart makes two free throws after a ThunderRidge opponent received a technical foul. The score is now 46-36 Mountain Vista.

8:09 p.m.: Mountain Vista calls a timeout with 4:39 left in the last quarter and a lead of 41-36.

8:04 p.m.: Pepper scores the first points of the game and a free throw, leaving the score 40-34. 8:01 p.m.: The third period comes to an end while Vista leads 37-32.

7:57 p.m.: Subart defends the lead by scoring two, leaving the total 37-29 Eagles.

7:50 p.m.: Pepper scores a basket. Vista leads, 32-22.

7:49 p.m.: Time-out is called with 5:30 remaining. Vista leads, 30-22.

7:46 p.m.: Mountain Vista’s Subart scores the first two points of the half.

7:41 p.m.: For part of the half-time entertainment, three students from both Mountain Vista and ThunderRidge raced to complete a layup, a free throw and a three pointer.

7:31 p.m.: Subart shoots two again to set the Eagles ahead 20-18 with 1:47 left in the first half.

6:55 p.m.: Senior team captain Ray Beresford injured his ankle prior to the game.

6:48 p.m.: The varsity team has 10 minutes left to warm-up to take on T-Ridge.
