Grouplove, an American indie-rock band, played at the Ogden Theatre in Denver on Oct. 18th accompanied by opening acts Dilly Dally and Muna as part of their 2016 “Big Mess” Tour.

The band attracted a large crowd, selling out the Ogden Theater with  fans waiting eagerly in line from 12 p.m. until doors opened at 7 p.m.

Audrey Barrett, a local high school student, waited in line for four hours to ensure a good spot.

“When I found [the tickets] I was really excited, I’ve had them since July,” Barrett said.

The night began with two opening sets from Dilly Dally, a canadian alternative rock band, and Muna, a R&B synthpop band based in Los Angeles.

“Dilly Dally’s set was alright,” concert goer Kaity Ivy said, “their music was different than Grouplove’s type of music, so it was kind of weird. There was a lot of T-rex noises.”

Following Dilly Dally’s set, Muna took the stage.

“Muna was better, they were more upbeat and I liked their music more,” Ivy said.

Finally, at 9:46 p.m the main attraction, Grouplove, took the stage opening with  “I’m With You” from their 2013 album Spreading Rumors.

Grouplove’s set continued on with fan favorites such as “Itchin’ On a Photograph”, “Tongue Tied” and “Shark Attack” from albums Never Trust a Happy Song and Spreading Rumors respectively.

Fans went wild at the opening of “Tongue Tied”. Being Grouplove’s most popular song it has more than 80 million listens on Spotify alone and generated the biggest response from the audience.

The set was also rounded out with newer songs “Welcome to your Life” and “Do You Love Someone” from the Big Mess album released in Sept. 2016.

After a 15 song set, Grouplove exited the stage before returning to play a final encore of “Enlighten Me”, “Hippy Hill”, “Ways To Go” and “Colors” concluding their two hour performance with a bang.
After the concert Barrett concluded the four hour wait was worth it.

“We were in the very front row,” Barrett said, “it was amazing, I’ve never touched the artist’s before.”

Grouplove’s next show is Oct. 21 in Kansas City, their “Big Mess” tour concludes in January in Australia.
