Colorado Get Ready for Protests on Inauguration Day

The Presidential Inauguration marks the launch of a new four-year term for the United States President. On Jan. 20, Donald Trump will start his term as the 45th President of the United States.

Coloradans prepare for Inauguration Day as thousands of people plan to take part in rallies in downtown Denver.

A Facebook page has been created on which about 30,000 people intend to join the march and rally. Numbers continue to increase.

The march will begin in Voorhies Memorial Park in Denver around 9 a.m. A variety of performers and speakers will appear, including State Senator Irene Aguilar.

“I believe that protests are essential to society today. Protests makes a difference and it allows us to get our voice heard,” junior Chloe Masterson said. Masterson plans to take part in the march.

Other protests will take place in Colorado. Locations include Colorado Springs, Steamboat Springs, Aspen, Carbondale, Grand Junction and Durango.
